Jean-Baptiste Dewin

Very active in Brussels, Dewin designed several private mansions as well as buildings intended for medical use (hospitals and clinics), which were often inspired by Anglo-Saxon models. He trained at Georges Hobé's studio. His treatment of Art Nouveau is more geometric in style and was doubtlessly inspired by the Vienna Secession. Gradually, his work would naturally incorporate the purer forms of Art Deco.
