Paul Cauchie

Paul Cauchie

After spending a few years studying architecture, Cauchie developed a career primarily as a painter and interior decorator. He is known for the house he designed for himself (directly influenced by Charles Rennie Mackintosh) as well as for his sgraffiti studio, one of the most prolific of its time. He was considered a master in this field and his name would become a byword for excellence. He produced sumptuous frescoes in Brussels and elsewhere.
