Adhémar Lener

1850
Before the First World War, Adhémar Lener, along with Antoine Pompe and Jean-Baptiste Dewin, was welcomed into the influential studio of architect Georges Hobé. For the young architects, this seemed to offer an alternative to traditional teaching, academicism and the constricting debate around styles.
In 1904, together with Antoine Pompe, he won the competition to design the Palace Hotel in Place Rogier.
