Place Rogier 22-24 | Saint-Josse-ten-Noode

This magnificent hotel is among the most beautiful geometric Art Nouveau-style creations. It was designed by the architect Adhémar Lener with the help of his young assistant, Antoine Pompe, who became an illustrious architect in the years that followed.

In 1908, the two architects won the competition to design a hotel held in preparation for the Brussels World Fair of 1910. It was one of the first concrete edifices in Belgium and was built in the record time of 11 months.

Its imposing façades present interesting capitals, caryatids, iron consoles and bow windows.

In 1995, the hotel was renovated by the Genval Architecture Practice and its name was changed. Despite the changes made to it, you can still admire some remnants of the old decoration and in particular some stucco masks along the reception corridor. The bar has photographs of the old hotel displayed on its walls.
