The left-hand side and the central bays, which are lower down, was the painter’s residence, while the right-hand side, topped with the large sgraffito decoration below the cornice, was the part reserved for the studio. On the left, a beautiful oriel window set in a partially sculpted blue stone surround enhances the first floor. It provides a balcony for the second floor, protected by a lovely geometric Art Nouveau railing and an overhanging cornice, which also features beautiful consoles of Art Nouveau ironwork. On the right, magnificent floral and geometric sgraffiti decorations delight the eye, as do the beautiful ironwork on the balcony and a three-bay doorway inserted between sculpted blue stone uprights, which ascend and transform into consoles.

Visitors are greeted by the sight of white marble stairs in the entrance hall, from where they can see a frieze depicting black cats and a bat, symbols of the night. A wide, dark wooden door opens onto the reception room, which is enhanced with light wooden elements adorned with sculpted Art Nouveau motifs, a beautiful white fireplace decorated with a medieval coat of arms and a coffered wooden ceiling. The interior is therefore the product of a blend of medieval, Flemish neo-Renaissance and Art Nouveau inspiration. Note also a beautiful wooden staircase, which includes a flight of stairs leading to the cellar embellished with superb, delicately executed woodwork. The restored stained glass windows, in perfect condition, are likewise worthy of note. Starting from the first floor, contemporary restoration work was carried out in the 2000s and complements the whole ensemble.
