This house is part of a beautiful collection of three houses (no. 7, no. 9 and no. 11) designed by the architect Henri Jacobs. It's sophisticated façades are a testament to the attention to detail that the architect put into his work.

The architect was proud of his private home! You can see the hallmarks of his work in various places: in the air vents, which are surrounded by lovely sgraffiti decorations, on the ground floor, in the decorative ironwork on the front door and in the letter box flap.
Another distinctive element in this façade is its central pier composed of two small, thin columns surmounted by a single capital with decoration inspired by plants. This capital serves as a starting point for the enormous flamboyant sgraffito decoration created by artist Henri Privat Livemont depicting fan-shaped floral motifs. The windows on the upper floor have painted sunshades that originally displayed a radiating motif.
The architect’s office, which occupied the ground floor, contained no less than five drafting tables. The kitchen and the dining room were located in the basement, while the living spaces were arranged on the upper floors. The entrance hall is bordered by a lovely sgraffito frieze and the staircase is decorated with an attractive wrought iron and brass bannister.
