This beautiful collection of three houses (no. 7, no. 9 and no. 11) was designed by the architect Henri Jacobs. These sophisticated façades are a testament to the attention to detail that the architect put into his work.
Henri Jacobs was commissioned to build a house to the left of his own, for which he won first prize in a beautiful façades competition organised by the municipality of Schaerbeek in 1906-1907. The composition of this façade is organised around the central oriel window with its elegant metal structure.
Note the decorative elements with floral motifs that embellish this façade, the central mullion on the top floor, in front of which stands a slender blue stone column in the form of a stylised flower stem, and above all the exceptional rounded cornice decorated with floral motifs. The front door is also well appointed, surmounted by a stained glass window with a floral motif and still retaining its bell-pull handle.
The interior is less homogeneous than the façade, being more Eclectic in style, but is also very well appointed. It is particularly worth mentioning the two magnificent painted canvases by Henri Privat Livemont, hung in recesses above the fireplaces in the lounge and the dining room.
