Albert Roosenboom

1871 — 1943
Roosenboom’s father, Albert Nicolas, was a painter of Dutch origin. After studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, he worked as a draughtsman with Victor Horta and then with Jules Barbier. It was during this period that he began to adopt the Art Nouveau Style. After 1905, he abandoned this and went to Africa to work for a railway company.
